Leviticus 16 16 et expiet sanctuarium ab immunditiis filiorum Israel, et a praevaricationibus eorum, cunctisque peccatis. And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world. καὶ αὐτὸς ἱλασμός ἐστιν περὶ τῶν ἁμαρτιῶν ἡμῶν· οὐ περὶ τῶν ἡμετέρων δὲ μόνον, ἀλλὰ καὶ περὶ ὅλου τοῦ κόσμου."
1_John 4 10 In hoc est caritas : non quasi nos dilexerimus Deum, sed quoniam ipse prior dilexit nos, et misit Filium suum propitiationem pro peccatis nostris. In this is charity: not as though we had loved God, but because he hath first loved us, and sent his Son to be a propitiation for our sins.
