| And Moses said: It cannot be so: for we shall sacrifice the abominations of the Egyptians to the Lord our God: now if we kill those things which the Egyptians worship, in their presence, they will stone us. |
| Exodus 8 29 | At ait Moyses : Egressus a te, orabo Dominum : et recedet musca a Pharaone, et a servis suis, et a populo ejus cras : verumtamen noli ultra fallere, ut non dimittas populum sacrificare Domino. | And Moses said: I will go out from thee, and will pray to the Lord: and the flies shall depart from Pharao, and from his servants, and from his people to morrow: but do not deceive any more, in not letting the people go to sacrifice to the Lord. |
| Exodus 8 30 | Egressusque Moyses a Pharaone, oravit Dominum. | So Moses went out from Pharao, and prayed to the Lord.

| And his heart was hardened, and the heart of his servants, and it was made exceeding hard: neither did he let the children of Israel go, as the Lord had commanded by the hand of Moses.

And he turned himself away, and went forth from Pharao.

| And when they had appointed him a day, there came very many to him unto his lodgings. To whom he expounded, testifying the kingdom of God and persuading them concerning Jesus, out of the law of Moses and the prophets, from morning until evening.
| For it is written in the law of Moses: Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen?
| 1_Corinthians 10 2 | et omnes in Moyse baptizati sunt in nube, et in mari : | And all in Moses were baptized, in the cloud and in the sea: | καὶ πάντες εἰς τὸν Μωϋσῆν ἐβαπτίσαντο ἐν τῇ νεφέλῃ καὶ ἐν τῇ θαλάσσῃ," |
Now if the ministration of death, engraven with letters upon stones, was glorious (so that the children of Israel could not steadfastly behold the face of Moses, for the glory of his countenance), which is made void: | Εἰ δὲ ἡ διακονία τοῦ θανάτου ἐν γράμμασιν, ἐντετυπωμένη ἐν λίθοις, ἐγενήθη ἐν δόξῃ, ὥστε μὴ δύνασθαι ἀτενίσαι τοὺς υἱοὺς Ἰσραὴλ εἰς τὸ πρόσωπον Μωϋσέως διὰ τὴν δόξαν τοῦ προσώπου αὐτοῦ, τὴν καταργουμένην," |
| 2_Corinthians 3 13 | et non sicut Moyses ponebat velamen super faciem suam, ut non intenderent filii Israel in faciem ejus, quod evacuatur, | And not as Moses put a veil upon his face, that the children of Israel might not steadfastly look on the face of that which is made void.
| But even until this day, when Moses is read, the veil is upon their heart.
Now as Jannes and Mambres resisted Moses, so these also resist the truth, men corrupted in mind, reprobate concerning the faith.
| Who is faithful to him that made him, as was also Moses in all his house.
| For this man was counted worthy of greater glory than Moses, by so much as he that hath built the house hath greater honour than the house. |
| Hebrews 3 5 | Et Moyses quidem fidelis erat in tota domo ejus tamquam famulus, in testimonium eorum, quae dicenda erant : | And Moses indeed was faithful in all his house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be said: | Καὶ Μωϋσῆς μὲν πιστὸς ἐν ὅλῳ τῷ οἴκῳ αὐτοῦ ὡς θεράπων, εἰς μαρτύριον τῶν λαληθησομένων·" |
| For some who heard did provoke: but not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.
| For it is evident that our Lord sprung out of Juda: in which tribe Moses spoke nothing concerning priests. |
| Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things. As it was answered to Moses, when he was to finish the tabernacle: See (saith he) that thou make all things according to the pattern which was shewn thee on the mount. |
| Hebrews 9 19 | Lecto enim omni mandato legis a Moyse universo populo, accipiens sanguinem vitulorum et hircorum cum aqua, et lana coccinea, et hyssopo, ipsum quoque librum, et omnem populum aspersit, | For when every commandment of the law had been read by Moses to all the people, he took the blood of calves and goats, with water, and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people.
| Hebrews 10 28 | Irritam quis faciens legem Moysi, sine ulla miseratione duobus vel tribus testibus moritur : | A man making void the law of Moses dieth without any mercy under two or three witnesses: | Ἀθετήσας τις νόμον Μωϋσέως χωρὶς οἰκτιρμῶν ἐπὶ δυσὶν ἢ τρισὶν μάρτυσιν ἀποθνῄσκει· |
| By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months by his parents: because they saw he was a comely babe, and they feared not the king's edict. |
| Hebrews 11 24 | Fide Moyses grandis factus negavit se esse filium filiae Pharaonis, | By faith Moses, when he was grown up, denied himself to be the son of Pharao's daughter: | Πίστει Μωϋσῆς μέγας γενόμενος ἠρνήσατο λέγεσθαι υἱὸς θυγατρὸς Φαραώ," |
| Hebrews 12 21 | Et ita terribile erat quod videbatur. Moyses dixit : Exterritus sum, et tremebundus. | And so terrible was that which was seen, Moses said: I am frighted, and tremble.
| When Michael the archangel, disputing with the devil, contended about the body of Moses, he durst not bring against him the judgment of railing speech, but said: The Lord command thee.
| And singing the canticle of Moses, the servant of God, and the canticle of the Lamb, saying: Great and wonderful are thy works, O Lord God Almighty. Just and true are thy ways, O King of ages. |
