And he sought to see Jesus who he was: and he could not for the crowd, because he was low of stature.
Jesus enim declinavit a turba constituta in loco. But he who was healed knew not who it was: for Jesus went aside from the multitude standing in the place.
The next day, the multitude that stood on the other side of the sea saw that there was no other ship there but one: and that Jesus had not entered into the ship with his disciples, but that his disciples were gone away alone.

When therefore the multitude saw that Jesus was not there, nor his disciples, they took shipping and came to Capharnaum, seeking for Jesus.
John 7 12 Et murmur multum erat in turba de eo. Quidam enim dicebant : Quia bonus est. Alii autem dicebant : Non, sed seducit turbas. And there was much murmuring among the multitude concerning him. For some said: He is a good man. And others said: No, but he seduceth the people.

For which reason also the people came to meet him, because they heard that he had done this miracle.
The multitude therefore that stood and heard said that it thundered. John 12 34 Respondit ei turba : Nos audivimus ex lege, quia Christus manet in aeternum : et quomodo tu dicis : Oportet exaltari Filium hominis ? quis est iste Filius hominis ? The multitude answered him: We have heard out of the law that Christ abideth for ever. And how sayest thou: The Son of man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of man?

But the Jews, moved with envy and taking unto them some wicked men of the vulgar sort and making a tumult, set the city in an uproar: and besetting Jason's house, sought to bring them out unto the people.

And Alexander, beckoning with his hand for silence, would have given the people satisfaction, Ἐκ δὲ τοῦ ὄχλου προεβίβασαν Ἀλέξανδρον, προβαλόντων αὐτὸν τῶν Ἰουδαίων.
