And it stood upon twelve oxen, of which three looked towards the north, and three towards the west, and three towards the south, and three towards the east: and the sea was above upon them, and their hinder parts were all hid within. 3_Kings 7 39 Et constituit decem bases, quinque ad dexteram partem templi, et quinque ad sinistram : mare autem posuit ad dexteram partem templi contra orientem ad meridiem. And he set the ten bases, five on the right side of the temple, and five on the left: and the sea he put on the right side of the temple, over against the east southward. Ezechiel 47 1 Et convertit me ad portam domus, et ecce aquae egrediebantur subter limen domus ad orientem : facies enim domus respiciebat ad orientem, aquae autem descendebant in latus templi dextrum, ad meridiem altaris. And he brought me again to the gate of the house, and behold waters issued out from under the threshold of the house toward the east: for the forefront of the house looked toward the east: but the waters came down to the right side of the temple to the south part of the altar.
