For I have foretold unto him, that I will judge his house for ever, for iniquity, because he knew that his sons did wickedly, and did not chastise them. And Saul said to the Lord: O Lord God of Israel, give a sign, by which we may know, what the meaning is, that thou answerest not thy servant to day: If this iniquity be in me, or in my son Jonathan, give a proof: or if this iniquity be in thy people, give holiness. And Jonathan and Saul were taken, and the people escaped.
1_Kings 20 8 Fac ergo misericordiam in servum tuum, quia foedus Domini me famulum tuum tecum inire fecisti : si autem est iniquitas aliqua in me, tu me interfice, et ad patrem tuum ne introducas me. But if there be any iniquity in me, do thou kill me, and bring me not in to thy father. Καὶ ποιήσεις ἔλεος μετὰ δούλου σου, ὅτι εἰσήγαγες εἰς διαθήκην Κυρίου τὸν δοῦλόν σου μετὰ σεαυτοῦ· καὶ εἰ ἔστιν ἀδικία ἐν τῷ δούλῳ σου, θανάτωσόν με σὺ, καὶ ἕως τοῦ πατρός σου ἱνατί οὕτως εἰσάγεις με;

Why didst thou go in to my father's concubine? And he was exceedingly angry for the words of Isboseth, and said: Am I a dog's head against Juda this day, who have shewn mercy to the house of Saul thy father, and to his brethren and friends, and have not delivered thee into the hands of David, and hast thou sought this day against me to charge me with a matter concerning a woman? Καὶ ἐθυμώθη σφόδρα Ἀβεννὴρ περὶ τοῦ λόγου τούτου τῷ Ἰεβοσθέ. καὶ εἶπεν Ἀβεννὴρ πρὸς αὐτὸν, μὴ κεφαλὴ κυνὸς ἐγώ εἰμι; ἐποίησα σήμερον ἔλεος μετὰ τοῦ οἴκου Σαοὺλ τοῦ πατρός σου, καὶ περὶ ἀδελφῶν καὶ περὶ γνωρίμων, καὶ οὐκ ηὐτομόλησα εἰς τὸν οἶκον Δαυὶδ, καὶ ἐπιζητεῖς ἐπʼ ἐμὲ σὺ ὑπὲρ ἀδικίας γυναικὸς σήμερον;

And Absalom answered Joab: I sent to thee beseeching thee to come to me, that I might send thee to the king, to say to him: Wherefore am I come from Gessur? it had been better for me to be there: I beseech thee therefore that I may see the face of the king: and if he be mindful of my iniquity, let him kill me.

And the Lord said: It is for Saul, and his bloody house, because he slow the Gabaonites.
3_Kings 2 32 Et reddet Dominus sanguinem ejus super caput ejus, quia interfecit duos viros justos, melioresque se : et occidit eos gladio, patre meo David ignorante, Abner filium Ner principem militiae Israel, et Amasam filium Jether principem exercitus Juda : And the Lord shall return his blood upon his own head; because he murdered two men, just and better than himself: and slew them with the sword, my father, David, not knowing it; Abner, the son of Ner, general of the army of Israel, and Amasa, the son of Jether general of the army of Juda; Καὶ ἐπέστρεψε Κύριος τὸ αἷμα τῆς ἀδικίας αὐτοῦ εἰς κεφαλὴν αὐτοῦ, ὡς ἀπήντησε τοῖς δυσὶν ἀνθρώποις τοῖς δικαίοις καὶ ἀγαθοῖς ὑπὲρ αὐτὸν, καὶ ἀπέκτεινεν αὐτοὺς ἐν ῥομφαίᾳ, καὶ ὁ πατήρ μου Δαυὶδ οὐκ ἔγνω τὸ αἷμα αὐτῶν, τὸν Ἀβεννὴρ υἱὸν Νὴρ ἀρχιστράτηγον Ἰσραὴλ, καὶ τὸν Ἀμεσσὰ υἱὸν Ἰεθὲρ ἀρχιστράτηγον Ἰούδα.

Καὶ εἶπε πρὸς Ἠλιοὺ, τί ἐμοὶ καὶ σοὶ ἄνθρωπε τοῦ Θεοῦ; εἰσῆλθες πρὸς μὲ τοῦ ἀναμνῆσαι ἀδικίας μου, καὶ θανατῶσαι τὸν υἱόν μου;
4_Kings 17 4 Cumque deprehendisset rex Assyriorum Osee, quod rebellare nitens misisset nuntios ad Sua regem Aegypti ne praestaret tributa regi Assyriorum sicut singulis annis solitus erat, obsedit eum, et vinctum misit in carcerem. And when the king of the Assyrians found that Osee, endeavouring to rebel, had sent messengers to Sua, the king of Egypt, that he might not pay tribute to the king of the Assyrians, as he had done every year, he besieged him, bound him, and cast him into prison.
1_Paralipomenon 17 9 Et dedi locum populo meo Israel : plantabitur, et habitabit in eo, et ultra non commovebitur : nec filii iniquitatis atterent eos, sicut a principio, And I have given a place my people Israel: they shall be planted, and shall dwell therein, and shall be moved no more, neither shall the children of iniquity waste them, as at the beginning, Καὶ θήσομαι τόπον τῷ λαῷ μου Ἰσραὴλ, καὶ καταφυτεύσω αὐτὸν, καὶ κατασκηνώσει καθʼ ἑαυτὸν, καὶ οὐ μεριμνήσει ἔτι, καὶ οὐ προσθήσει υἱὸς ἀδικίας τοῦ ταπεινῶσαι αὐτὸν καθὼς ἀρχῆς, καὶ ἀφʼ ἡμερῶν ὧν ἔταξα κριτὰς ἐπὶ τὸν λαόν μου Ἰσραήλ·
Let the fear of the Lord be with you, and do all things with diligence: for there is no iniquity with the Lord our God, nor respect of persons, nor desire of gifts.
Job 11 14 Si iniquitatem quae est in manu tua abstuleris a te, et non manserit in tabernaculo tuo injustitia, If thou wilt put away from thee the iniquity that is in thy hand, and let not injustice remain in thy tabernacle: εἰ ἄνομόν τί ἐστιν ἐν χερσί σου, πόῤῥω ποίησον αὐτὸ ἀπὸ σοῦ, ἀδικία δὲ ἐν διαίτῃ σου μὴ αὐλισθήτω·
How much more is man abominable, and unprofitable, who drinketh iniquity like water?
Job 33 17 ut avertat hominem ab his quae facit, et liberet eum de superbia, That he may withdraw a man from the things he is doing, and may deliver him from pride.
Job 34 6 In judicando enim me mendacium est : violenta sagitta mea absque ullo peccato. For in judging me there is a lie: my arrow is violent without any sin.
Job 34 32 Si erravi, tu doce me ; si iniquitatem locutus sum, ultra non addam. If I have erred, teach thou me: if I have spoken iniquity, I will add no more.
He also shall open their ear, to correct them: and shall speak, that they may return from iniquity.
Job 36 18 Non te ergo superet ira ut aliquem opprimas : nec multitudo donorum inclinet te. Therefore let not anger overcome thee to oppress any man: neither let multitude of gifts turn thee aside.
Proverbs 8 13 Timor Domini odit malum : arrogantiam, et superbiam, et viam pravam, et os bilingue, detestor. The fear of the Lord hateth evil; I hate arrogance, and pride, and every wicked way, and a mouth with a double tongue.
Proverbs 11 5 Justitia simplicis diriget viam ejus, et in impietate sua corruet impius. The justice of the upright shall make his way prosperous: and the wicked man shall fall by his own wickedness.
It is better to sit in a corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman, and in a common house.
A prince void of prudence shall oppress many by calumny: but he that hateth covetousness, shall prolong his days.
He that walketh in justices, and speaketh truth, that casteth away avarice by oppression, and shaketh his hands from all bribes, that stoppeth his ears lest he hear blood, and shutteth his eyes that he may see no evil.

Isaias 43 24 Non emisti mihi argento calamum, et adipe victimarum tuarum non inebriasti me : verumtamen servire me fecisti in peccatis tuis ; praebuisti mihi laborem in iniquitatibus tuis. Thou hast bought me no sweet cane with money, neither hast thou filled me with the fat of thy victims. But thou hast made me to serve with thy sins, thou hast wearied me with thy iniquities.
The just perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart, and men of mercy are taken away, because there is none that understandeth; for the just man is taken away from before the face of evil.
Is not this rather the fast that I have chosen? loose the bands of wickedness, undo the bundles that oppress, let them that are broken go free, and break asunder every burden.
For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity: your lips have spoken lies, and your tongue uttereth iniquity.
Isaias 60 18 Non audietur ultra iniquitas in terra tua ; vastitas et contritio in terminis tuis : et occupabit salus muros tuos, et portas tuas laudatio. Iniquity shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction in thy borders, and salvation shall possess thy walls, and praise thy gates.
Isaias 61 8 Quia ego Dominus diligens judicium, et odio habens rapinam in holocausto ; et dabo opus eorum in veritate, et foedus perpetuum feriam eis. For I am the Lord that love judgment, and hate robbery in a holocaust: and I will make their work in truth, and I will make a perpetual covenant with them.
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites; because you make clean the outside of the cup and of the dish, but within you are full of rapine and uncleanness.

Luke 13 27 Et dicet vobis : Nescio vos unde sitis : discedite a me omnes operarii iniquitatis. And he shall say to you: I know you not, whence you are. Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.
Luke 16 8 Et laudavit dominus villicum iniquitatis, quia prudenter fecisset : quia filii hujus saeculi prudentiores filiis lucis in generatione sua sunt. And the lord commended the unjust steward, forasmuch as he had done wisely: for the children of this world are wiser in their generation than the children of light.
And I say to you: Make unto you friends of the mammon of iniquity: that when you shall fail, they may receive you into everlasting dwellings.
Luke 18 6 Ait autem Dominus : Audite quid judex iniquitatis dicit : And the Lord said: Hear what the unjust judge saith.
He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh the glory of him that sent him, he is true and there is no injustice in him.
And he indeed hath possessed a field of the reward of iniquity, and being hanged, burst asunder in the midst: and all his bowels gushed out.
For I see thou art in the gall of bitterness and in the bonds of iniquity.
1_Corinthians 13 6 non gaudet super iniquitate, congaudet autem veritati : Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth with the truth: οὐ χαίρει ἐπὶ τῇ ἀδικίᾳ, συγχαίρει δὲ τῇ ἀληθείᾳ,"
For what is there that you have had less than the other churches but that I myself was not burthensome to you? Pardon me this injury.
And in all seduction of iniquity to them that perish: because they receive not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. Therefore God shall send them the operation of error, to believe lying: καὶ ἐν πάσῃ ἀπάτῃ τῆς ἀδικίας ἐν τοῖς ἀπολλυμένοις, ἀνθ’ ὧν τὴν ἀγάπην τῆς ἀληθείας οὐκ ἐδέξαντο εἰς τὸ σωθῆναι αὐτούς."
But we ought to give thanks to God always for you, brethren, beloved of God, for that God hath chosen you firstfruits unto salvation, in sanctification of the spirit and faith of the truth: ἵνα κριθῶσιν πάντες οἱ μὴ πιστεύσαντες τῇ ἀληθείᾳ, ἀλλ’ εὐδοκήσαντες ἐν τῇ ἀδικίᾳ."
But the sure foundation of God standeth firm, having this seal: the Lord knoweth who are his; and let every one depart from iniquity who nameth the name of the Lord.
Because I will be merciful to their iniquities: and their sins I will remember no more.
James 3 6 Et lingua ignis est, universitas iniquitatis. Lingua constituitur in membris nostris, quae maculat totum corpus, et inflammat rotam nativitatis nostrae inflammata a gehenna. And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is placed among our members, which defileth the whole body and inflameth the wheel of our nativity, being set on fire by hell.
2_Peter 2 13 percipientes mercedem injustitiae, voluptatem existimantes diei delicias : coinquinationes, et maculae deliciis affluentes, in conviviis suis luxuriantes vobiscum, Receiving the reward of their injustice, counting for a pleasure the delights of a day: stains and spots, sporting themselves to excess, rioting in their feasts with you:
2_Peter 2 15 derelinquentes rectam viam erraverunt, secuti viam Balaam ex Bosor, qui mercedem iniquitatis amavit : Leaving the right way, they have gone astray, having followed the way of Balaam of Bosor who loved the wages of iniquity,
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just, to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all iniquity.
All iniquity is sin. And there is a sin unto death.
