Leviticus 11 44 Ego enim sum Dominus Deus vester : sancti estote, quia ego sanctus sum. Ne polluatis animas vestras in omni reptili quod movetur super terram. For I am the Lord your God. Be holy because I am holy. Defile not your souls by any creeping thing, that moveth upon the earth.
Therefore do you also separate the clean beast from the unclean, and the clean fowl from the unclean. Defile not your souls with beasts, or birds, or any things that move on the earth, and which I have shewn you to be unclean: Καὶ ἀφοριεῖτε αὐτοὺς ἀναμέσον τῶν κτηνῶν τῶν καθαρῶν καὶ ἀναμέσον τῶν κτηνῶν τῶν ἀκαθάρτων, καὶ ἀναμέσον τῶν πετεινῶν τῶν καθαρῶν καὶ τῶν ἀκαθάρτων· καὶ οὐ βδελύξετε τὰς ψυχὰς ὑμῶν ἐν τοῖς κτήνεσι, καὶ ἐν τοῖς πετεινοῖς, καὶ ἐν πᾶσι τοῖς ἑρπετοῖς τῆς γῆς ἃ ἐγὼ ἀφώρισα ὑμῖν ἐν ἀκαθαρσίᾳ.
Leviticus 22 32 Ne polluatis nomen meum sanctum, ut sanctificer in medio filiorum Israel. Ego Dominus qui sanctifico vos, Profane not my holy name, that I may be sanctified in the midst of the children of Israel. I am the Lord who sanctify you: Καὶ οὐ βεβηλώσετε τὸ ὄνομα τοῦ ἁγίου, καὶ ἁγιασθήσομαι ἐν μέσῳ τῶν υἱῶν Ἰσραήλ· ἐγὼ Κύριος ὁ ἁγιάζων ὑμᾶς,
And you shall not sin in this point, by reserving the choicest and fat things to yourselves, lest you profane the oblations of the children of Israel, and die. None
Defile not the land of your habitation, which is stained with the blood of the innocent: neither can it otherwise be expiated, but by his blood that hath shed the blood of another.
