per quem maxima, et pretiosa nobis promissa donavit : ut per haec efficiamini divinae consortes naturae : fugientes ejus, quae in mundo est, concupiscentiae corruptionem.

By whom he hath given us most great and precious promises: that by these you may be made partakers of the divine nature: flying the corruption of that concupiscence which is in the world.

δι’ ὧν τὰ τίμια ἡμῖν καὶ μέγιστα ἐπαγγέλματα δεδώρηται, ἵνα διὰ τούτων γένησθε θείας κοινωνοὶ φύσεως, ἀποφυγόντες τῆς ἐν κόσμῳ ἐν ἐπιθυμίᾳ φθορᾶς."

Novos vero caelos, et novam terram secundum promissa ipsius exspectamus, in quibus justitia habitat.

But we look for new heavens and a new earth according to his promises, in which justice dwelleth.

Καινοὺς δὲ οὐρανοὺς καὶ γῆν καινὴν κατὰ τὸ ἐπάγγελμα αὐτοῦ προσδοκῶμεν, ἐν οἷς δικαιοσύνη κατοικεῖ."
