Lest perhaps lifting up thy eyes to heaven, thou see the sun and the moon, and all the stars of heaven, and being deceived by error thou adore and serve them, which the Lord thy God created for the service of all the nations, that are under heaven.

Ecclesiastes 12 2 antequam tenebrescat sol, et lumen, et luna, et stellae, et revertantur nubes post pluviam ; Before the sun, and the light, and the moon, and the stars be darkened, and the clouds return after the rain: Ἕως οὗ μὴ σκοτισθῇ ὁ ἥλιος καὶ τὸ φῶς, καὶ ἡ σελήνη καὶ οἱ ἀστέρες, καὶ ἐπιστρέψουσι τὰ νέφη ὀπίσω τοῦ ὑετοῦ.
For the stars of heaven, and their brightness shall not display their light: the sun shall be darkened in his rising, and the moon shall not shine with her light.
Isaias 14 13 Qui dicebas in corde tuo : In caelum conscendam, super astra Dei exaltabo solium meum ; sedebo in monte testamenti, in lateribus aquilonis ; And thou saidst in thy heart: I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God, I will sit in the mountain of the covenant, in the sides of the north.
Isaias 47 13 Defecisti in multitudine consiliorum tuorum. Thou hast failed in the multitude of thy counsels: let now the astrologers stand and save thee, they that gazed at the stars, and counted the months, that from them they might tell the things that shall come to thee.
