Matthew 2 16 Tunc Herodes videns quoniam illusus esset a magis, iratus est valde, et mittens occidit omnes pueros, qui erant in Bethlehem, et in omnibus finibus ejus, a bimatu et infra secundum tempus, quod exquisierat a magis. Then Herod perceiving that he was deluded by the wise men, was exceeding angry: and sending killed all the menchildren that were in Bethlehem, and in all the borders thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men. Τότε Ἡρῴδης, ἰδὼν ὅτι ἐνεπαίχθη ὑπὸ τῶν μάγων, ἐθυμώθη λίαν, καὶ ἀποστείλας ἀνεῖλεν πάντας τοὺς παῖδας τοὺς ἐν Βηθλεὲμ καὶ ἐν πᾶσιν τοῖς ὁρίοις αὐτῆς, ἀπὸ διετοῦς καὶ κατωτέρω, κατὰ τὸν χρόνον ὃν ἠκρίβωσεν παρὰ τῶν μάγων."

Acts 13 8 Resistebat autem illis Elymas magus (sic enim interpretatur nomen ejus), quaerens avertere proconsulem a fide. But Elymas the magician (for so his name is interpreted) withstood them, seeking to turn away the proconsul from the faith. Ἀνθίστατο δὲ αὐτοῖς Ἐλύμας, ὁ μάγος- οὕτως γὰρ μεθερμηνεύεται τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ- ζητῶν διαστρέψαι τὸν ἀνθύπατον ἀπὸ τῆς πίστεως."
