Genesis 35 4 Dederunt ergo ei omnes deos alienos quos habebant, et inaures quae erant in auribus eorum : at ille infodit ea subter terebinthum, quae est post urbem Sichem. So they gave him all the strange gods they had, and the earrings which were in their ears: and he buried them under the turpentine tree, that is behind the city of Sichem. He answered: I am. καὶ ἐπορεύθη κατόπισθεν τοῦ ἀνθρώπου τοῦ Θεοῦ, καὶ εὗρεν αὐτὸν καθήμενον ὑπὸ δρῦν, καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ, εἰ σὺ εἶ ὁ ἄνθρωπος τοῦ Θεοῦ ὁ ἐληλυθὼς ἐξ Ἰούδα; καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ, ἐγώ.
Osee 4 13 Super capita montium sacrificabant, et super colles ascendebant thymiama ; subtus quercum, et populum, et terebinthum, quia bona erat umbra ejus ; ideo fornicabuntur filiae vestrae, et sponsae vestrae adulterae erunt.
