Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the ancients? For they wash not their hands when they eat bread.
Mark 7 3 Pharisaei enim, et omnes Judaei, nisi crebro laverint manus, non manducant, tenentes traditionem seniorum : For the Pharisees and all the Jews eat not without often washing their hands, holding the tradition of the ancients.
And the Pharisees and scribes asked him: Why do not thy disciples walk according to the tradition of the ancients, but they eat bread with common hands?
But there is not knowledge in every one. For some until this present, with conscience of the idol, eat as a thing sacrificed to an idol: and their conscience, being weak, is defiled.
