And the Lord smelled a sweet savour, and said: I will no more curse the earth for the sake of man: for the imagination and thought of man's heart are prone to evil from his youth: therefore I will no more destroy every living soul as I have done.
Genesis 12 3 Benedicam benedicentibus tibi, et maledicam maledicentibus tibi, atque in te benedicentur universae cognationes terrae. I will bless them that bless thee, and curse them that curse thee, and IN THEE shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.
Numbers 23 8 Quomodo maledicam, cui non maledixit Deus ? qua ratione detester, quem Dominus non detestatur ? How shall I curse him, whom God hath not cursed? By what means should I detest him, whom the Lord detesteth not? Τί ἀράσωμαι ὃν μὴ ἀρᾶται Κύριος; ἢ τί καταράσωμαι ὃν μὴ καταρᾶται ὁ Θεός;
If you will not hear, and if you will not lay it to heart, to give glory to my name, saith the Lord of hosts: I will send poverty upon you, and will curse your blessings, yea I will curse them, because you have not laid it to heart.
