Chap Ver Latin English Greek
Thou shalt not make to thyself a graven thing, nor the likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or in the earth beneath, nor of those things that are in the waters under the earth.
Isaias 40 18 [Cui ergo similem fecisti Deum ? aut quam imaginem ponetis ei ? To whom then have you likened God? or what image will you make for him? Τίνι ὡμοιώσατε Κύριον; καὶ τίνι ὁμοιώματι ὡμοιώσατε αὐτόν;
But emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men, and in habit found as a man.
Apocalypse 9 7 Et similitudines locustarum, similes equis paratis in praelium : et super capita earum tamquam coronae similes auro : et facies earum tamquam facies hominum. And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle. And on their heads were, as it were, crowns like gold: and their faces were as the faces of men.
