Deuteronomy 20 5
|
Duces quoque per singulas turmas audiente exercitu proclamabunt : Quis est homo qui aedificavit domum novam, et non dedicavit eam ? vadat, et revertatur in domum suam, ne forte moriatur in bello, et alius dedicet eam.

And the captains shall proclaim through every band in the hearing of the army: What man is there, that hath built a new house, and hath not dedicated it? let him go and return to his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man dedicate it.

Καὶ λαλήσουσιν οἱ γραμματεῖς πρὸς τὸν λαὸν, λέγοντες, τίς ὁ ἄνθρωπος ὁ οἰκοδομήσας οἰκίαν καινὴν, καὶ οὐκ ἐνεκαίνισεν αὐτήν; πορευέσθω καὶ ἀποστραφήτω εἰς τὴν· οἰκίαν αὐτοῦ, μὴ ἀποθάνῃ ἐν τῷ πολέμῳ, καὶ ἄνθρωπος ἕτερος ἐγκαινιεῖ αὐτήν.

|
quam initiavit nobis viam novam, et viventem per velamen, id est, carnem suam,

A new and living way which he hath dedicated for us through the veil, that is to say, his flesh:

ἣν ἐνεκαίνισεν ἡμῖν ὁδὸν πρόσφατον καὶ ζῶσαν, διὰ τοῦ καταπετάσματος, τοῦτ’ ἔστιν, τῆς σαρκὸς αὐτοῦ,"
