hoc enim bonum est, et acceptum coram Salvatore nostro Deo,

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour,

Τοῦτο γὰρ καλὸν καὶ ἀπόδεκτον ἐνώπιον τοῦ σωτῆρος ἡμῶν θεοῦ,"

Si qua autem vidua filios, aut nepotes habet : discat primum domum suam regere, et mutuam vicem reddere parentibus : hoc enim acceptum est coram Deo.

But if any widow have children or grandchildren, let her learn first to govern her own house and to make a return of duty to her parents; for this is acceptable before God.

Εἰ δέ τις χήρα τέκνα ἢ ἔκγονα ἔχει, μανθανέτωσαν πρῶτον τὸν ἴδιον οἶκον εὐσεβεῖν, καὶ ἀμοιβὰς ἀποδιδόναι τοῖς προγόνοις· τοῦτο γάρ ἐστιν ἀπόδεκτον ἐνώπιον τοῦ θεοῦ."
