|
De bobus quoque, et ovibus similiter facies : septem diebus sit cum matre sua, die octava reddes illum mihi.

Thou shalt do the same with the firstborn of thy oxen also and sheep: seven days let it be with its dam: the eighth day thou shalt give it to me.

καί ἀνήρ ἅγιος εἰμί μοι καί κρέας θηριάλωτος οὐ ἐσθίω ὁ κύων ἀπορρίπτω αὐτός

Centurio autem volens servare Paulum, prohibuit fieri : jussitque eos qui possent natare, emittere se primos, et evadere, et ad terram exire :

But the centurion, willing to save Paul, forbade it to be done. And he commanded that they who could swim should cast themselves first into the sea and save themselves and get to land.

Ὁ δὲ ἑκατόνταρχος, βουλόμενος διασῶσαι τὸν Παῦλον, ἐκώλυσεν αὐτοὺς τοῦ βουλήματος, ἐκέλευσέν τε τοὺς δυναμένους κολυμβᾷν ἀπορρίψαντας πρώτους ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν ἐξιέναι·"
